Cris Kong is a seasoned freelance compositor, animator, and motion designer with over 14 years of experience in visual effects and motion graphics. Specializing in Nuke and After Effects, Cris has a proven track record of delivering high-quality compositions and animations for a wide range of clients, including leading studios like Apple, A52, Brand New School, BUCK, Digital Kitchen, Electric Theatre Collective, Frame Store, Imaginary Forces, Laundry, Logan, LOOM, The Mill, MPC, Rock Paper Scissors, Pacific Title and Art Studio, Prologue, Red Bull, Scholar, Psyop, We are Royale, and Zoic.
He began his career as an art director and designer at an advertising agency, where he worked with Jinro Soju as their main client. This early experience honed his skills in branding, visual storytelling, and creative direction, laying a strong foundation for his transition into motion design and visual effects.
Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong ability to adapt to diverse creative environments, contributing to projects ranging from commercials and branded content to immersive experiences. His expertise spans compositing, rotoscoping, motion tracking, color correction, and green screen work, consistently bringing a meticulous eye for detail and a creative edge to every project.
Cris holds a BA in Graphic Design/Visual Communications from American InterContinental University and an AS in Graphic Design from Brooks College, both with a perfect 4.0 GPA. He also earned a Certificate in Nuke from Studio Arts, further cementing his technical proficiency.
